I & P.R. OFFICERS STRESS ON PROPER JOB STATUS

Orissa’s Information & Public Relations Officers, in a memorandum to the departmental Minister Debashis Nayak on June 04, have stressed on proper job status commensurate with their responsibilities and in similarity to opportunities offered to sister cadre officers in the State, particularly in the Orissa Administrative service.

In a delegation led by Association President Pruthwish Singh, they have demanded Class- I status for the District level Officers and realignment of qualifying experience of three years to two in the Class-II cadre for promotion to Class-I.

Appropriate working mediums like vehicle and computers ought to be supplied to the Officers in charges of Districts and sub-Divisions with adequate training to operate the computers, they have emphasized.

According to a Government Press release, the Minister has assured them of utmost and prompt cooperation.
