His Excellency the Governor of Orissa, Prof. Ganeshi Lal felicitated your Representative-in-Chief Subhas Chandra Pattanayak on 8 February at Gandhi Smruti Bhavan, Phulabani on behalf of the Phulbani Action Group (P.A.G.). The occasion was commencement of a program to spread over the entire Kandhamal District the Gandhian philosophy of probity in public life, in the course of the yearlong celebration of his 150th birth anniversary.
Prof. Lal made a scholarly analysis of Gandhiji’s call on village reconstruction, his priority on the people’s mother tongue in education and administration , his enormous emphasis on probity in public life, on means justifying the end and his theory of trusteeship. Despite impact of globalization,Gandhiji’s philosophy continues to influence many official programs of the day, he said.
