Prof. Sarat Pujari was as humble as firm in real and celluloid life: Prof. Malabika Ray

In paying rich tributes to Orissa’s iconic actor and its life member Sarat Pujari, Bhubaneswar Music Circle (BMC) recalled the eminent educationist, who besides being an art lover, was a great Director and theater personality. Looking back on him, Prof. Malabika Ray said, he was a “great human being” who was “as humble as firm in real and celluloid life”.

At Rabindra Mandap, Bhubaneswar, in the evening of May 18. BMC began the event with violinist Laxmi Prasad Pattanayak offering his tributes with Guru Sandeep Kumar Raut giving accompaniment with Tabla.

Laxmi Prasad, a regular guest faculty in Utkal University of Culture commenced his offering in Raga Kirwani set to Bilambit-Madhya-Dhrut Tintal and ended in Raga Khamaj Dhun set to Tal Dadra.

Shiv Prasad Rao of Gandharva Mahavidyalaya, New Delhi rendered Hindustani Vocal in Rag Jayashree set to Bilambit Tintal with Mahammad Kamil and Akash Ranjit giving accompaniment in Tabla and Harmonium respectively.

Eminent dramatist Anant Mohapatra and Lalatendu Rath also spoke on Prof. Pujari.
