Come Sunday, from 6.30 to 10.30 in the morning the busiest Janpath of Bhubaneswar becomes a place of effervescence where Time merges in free fresh air greeting vehicle-less activities on celebration of social togetherness, health, environment and entertainment.
Its latest episode was dominated by Utkal University of Culture with its Vice-Chancellor Prof. Debendranath Jena and faculty Ms. Itishree Sahoo encouraging the participants from the University.
The University NSS bureau offered the event as an innovative cultural program for world peace. Three wings – Tabla, Flute and Vocal wings of the University participated.
Tabla was presented by Guru Sandeep Kumar Raut and students with Violin scholar Laxmi Prasad Pattanayak giving the accompaniment in Violin.
Guru Jabahar Mishra and Guru Parshuram Das presented Flute with Tabla support from Guru Sandeep Kumar Raut.
In Vocal, Asha Mukul Barik was supported by Prof. Jagannath Kuanr (Harmonium), Guru Parshuram Das (Flute) and Dr. Sandeep Kumar Raut (Tabla)
From amongst the students of UCC, Matru Prasad, Subhakant Sahoo, Bhimasen Parida and Ramanuj Das actively participated.
Kids’ participation was suggestive of increasing popularity of Raahgiriday.
