Founder of Bhasha Andolan, Orissa, Subhas Chandra Pattanayak launched his documented book MICHHA KEBE SATA HUENA live in Facebook this evening.The book dwells in details on false claim and real crime in the matter of classical status bestowed upon Oriya, the ancient splendid language of the people of Orissa.
He alleged that the State’s Chief Minister Mr. Naveen Patnaik who has denied the people their right to administration in their mother tongue, has been protecting and helping a gang of language-mafia that had stolen away the documentation prepared by the State in support of its claim for national recognition of Oriya as classical, thereby denying the people their right to know contributions of their ancestors to make their mother tongue so majestic.
On this day in 2013 Language Experts appointed by the Government to look into classicality of Indian Languages, unanimously resolved that Oriya Language entirely fits into the norm fixed for recognition of a language as Classical. While commemorating the decision, Pattanayak called upon the Government to amend its anti-Oriya attitude and prosecute the culprits that have damaged the history of Oriya’s classical status and by creating a parallel over the official documentation after stealing the same away through a gang of gained over officials.
