ORISSA GOVERNMENT BELATEDLY ALLOTS LAND TO IIT

Its blatant negligence threadbare exposed, the Orissa Government has belatedly located lands in Banki Tahsil for the IIT. The site is between Dampara and Talabasta at a distance of around 55 Kms from Bhubaneswar and comprises barren government land stretching over around a thousand acres. Central Government needs 600 acres for the Institute.

In a face saving attempt, the state government has also located a government building for the Institute to commence its classes.
