Theft of Official Document on Classical Oriya: Important Contributor demands CBI Inquiry

Subhas Chandra Pattanayak

The President of India has been pleased to award Certificate of Honour,2019 to Pandit Antaryami Mishra for Classical Odia. He has made splendid contributions to preparation of the Official document.

On 15 7 2017, in his Dhenkanal residence , Pandit Mishra had thrown light on how the then Director of the State’s Institute of Language (Odia Bhasha Pratisthan) and Secretary of Orissa Academy of Letters (Odisha Sahitya Akademi) had helped Dr. Debi Prasanna Pattanayak and Subrat Prusty in theft of the official document.

He had stressed upon a CBI inquiry into the matter for revelation of the truth.

The worst sort of cultural farce is discernible in Prusty’s selection for Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman 2019 for Classical Odia, when the Government of Orissa is sleeping over the Report of its Institute of Odia Language that the copy right of government over its Classical Odia document has been entirely violated by a private organisation in which Prusty is involved.

As per the norm, Prusty has no merit to be considered for the award.

The President of India as well as the Secretary, MHRD, Government of India are informed of this mischief.

  1. Mahodaya, thanks a lot for the inputs & revelation of truth.

We are grateful to you. Thanks a lot

Mahodaya, after getting classical language tag in 2014,the fight for Odia language has
lost it’s relevance. Those who are fighting for Odia language are divided among themselves.

And the benefit goes to Nabeen & his coterie.
They will not loose a single opportunity to divide Odia people and Odia language.

5 years have been passed since 2014 but Odisha Govt couldn’t open a Central Institute of Classical Odia,
    Odia University.

Therefore our demand is (1)To open Odia University at the earliest&allocate more fund for it.
(2)Open Central Institute of classical Odia(3)Make Odia compulsory in English medium schools.
(4)Constitute a language commission(5)Compulsory use of Odia language in judiciary, employment&admin
(6)Compulsory use of Odia language in all communications(Pvt & Govt)

    With Best Regards,

    Abinash

    • Dear Abinash babu, thanks for the nice comment. I endorse all your demands except item No.4, because in the draft legislation I had given to the State Govt. as a member in the Ministerial Committee, I had suggested for creation of a Bhasha Adalat headed by a senior judicial officer not below the rank of an Additional Sessions Judge to legally capable to entertain and initiate criminal prosecution against whosoever dishonors the official language status of Oriya. And, dear Sir, I am yet fighting for the same, when some of my colleagues in Bhasha Andolan have been gained over by the government that tries to escape by creating fissure among the activists. Have my greetings.

  2. Thanks a lot Sir.
People of Odisha are grateful to you.

    In my view
1)The “Bhasa Andolan” need more media attention
    2) People’s participation & awareness
    3) Social media campaign

    With Best Regards,

    Abinash
