In stressing upon the need to make Oriya compulsory in managing the State of Orissa, a cause that Bhasha Andolan has been espousing for last 1542 days, eminent political leader and scholar Prasad Harichandan earmarked the Andolan deserters as traitors to the Mother.
Speaking in the public forum – ଭାଷା ମାଆ ପାଇଁ ପଦେ ( A few words for the mother tongue) – a page of Bhasha Andolan in the Facebook, he said, to have their State run in Oriya language is the birthright of the people of Orissa.
Unconcerned elites, uncaring Government and lack of leadership are the three basic factors of loss of the primacy of Oriya language in Orissa, he lamented.
