Subrat Prusty: Stealing of Official Work on Classical Oriya: Kirttan Narayan Padhi’s Version Vital

Subhas Chandra Pattanayak

Presidential Award of Certificate of Honor to Scholars in the segment of Maharshi Badrayan Vyas Samman in the field of Classical Odia to Subrat Kumar Prusty is a classic instance of how dishonesty is getting honored in this Country.

Prusty and his gang headed by Dr. Debi Prasanna Pattanayak have stated to have prepared the work titled ‘Classical Odia’ published by KIS Foundation, which, they claim, fetched classical tag for Oriya language.

Prof. Prakash Ch. Pattanaik of Delhi University, who was a member of the expert committee and played the most vital role in grant of classical status to our language, had apprised the Chief Minister in a mail on 1st March 2014 of how the work by a private body was verbatim similar to the one produced by the State Government.

He was kind enough to come. He clearly and emphatically stated that he had given his essay only to the official project, i.e. to the Odia Bhasha Pratisthan, for official use. He specifically denied to ever have given his essay to the nonofficial setup of Subrat Prusty. This version of Sri Padhi is very relevant in understanding how a private work verbatim of the official work had reached the Expert Committee appointed to examine the claim of Classical status to Oriya Language.

NOW TO WHAT SRI PADHI HAS SAID:
